Lately, I have spent quite a bit of time thinking about hope; wondering what hope is, what it means to hope and how hope is different than expectation. I have had challenges trusting that being hopeful through the bleak times is really worth the effort.
I have been trying to understand how one can be hopeful but yet not have expectations that things will turn out a certain way. Especially in the moments when I truly feel hopeless and those expectations feel like a life-vest, keeping me afloat.
