SAN DIEGO, Nov. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Before the 'Affordable Care Act' (aka Obamacare) was signed into law in March of 2010, there were a series of high-level deals struck by the White House to help insure success for the struggling legislation. One of these involved the American Medical Association (AMA). American doctors have always wanted healthcare access for all patients, but the majority of physicians were not behind the AMA's decision to support Obamacare. With less than 15% membership of practicing doctors in the nation, the AMA was in no position to speak on behalf of physicians.

This is why the 'white coat' ceremonies on the East Lawn of the White House were such a farce. "They were literally a slap in the face to the average American and the average doctor, who did not support Obamacare and who were not given their justified 'voice' on the subject," says America's Medical Society (AMS) founder and President, Doctor Adam Dorin.Continue.
