Florida's Managing Entity initiative leaves many questions

This Managing Entity process in Florida is getting interesting. Does anyone know exactly how this will work? Will your representative board have voting rights on the distribution of State funds in your city? Region 4 now has three group applying to be your managing entity. Do you know who they are? Will you have input into how your tax dollars are spent? What role does DCF now play? What do you know about this significant change to the State's mental health system and how it affects…

- Hi Mark, I have sent you an email. I'm still technology challenged but hope to conquer the ins and out of QueNet. Still fighting SDC battles and worry about the future of those of us seeking services based on our individual needs. As DCF fades into the background maybe new and innovative solutions for mental health will be allowed to grow. However, I fear that the small providers will take the greatest hit under the managing entities...unfortunately many of them are in areas where services are most needed.
